About

Independent by structure, not slogan.

Evolve Politics is built as a shared‑equity media outlet — owned collectively by its writers rather than controlled by distant proprietors or billionaire patrons. This demonstration site (“Evolve V2”) mirrors that ethos for Tom Rogers: fast pages, calm reading, and funding tools that meet readers where they already are.

We are avowedly biased — against injustice, inequality, and unfairness — and in favour of remedies that shift power towards ordinary people. Editorial independence here means independence from concentrated wealth, not independence from moral judgement.

Evolve does not take corporate underwriting for editorial coverage. Funding comes from readers who want accountability journalism to exist even when algorithms would prefer something cheaper and louder. Donations and subscriptions are not tips for entertainment; they are the structural substitute for owners who might otherwise dial scrutiny up or down on a whim.

This V2 build is a prototype: same editorial north star, rebuilt user experience. Nothing here replaces the live Evolve site until Tom decides it should — it exists to show what a Stripe‑native, Cloudflare‑hosted workflow can feel like for a newsroom that lives on deadlines.

If you believe politics should be covered as if outcomes matter — not as theatre — Evolve is aimed at you. The support page explains how to fund the work directly while this demo remains in test mode.
